Digi Americas (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is the official mobile application and event platform of the Digi Americas Alliance, a multistakeholder initiative dedicated to advancing cybersecurity, digital trust, and innovation across the Americas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Digi Americas mobile application (“App”), our event website or registration portal (“Web Platform”), or participate in Digi Americas events, whether virtual or on-site (“Events”).
By using the App, the Web Platform, or participating in our Events, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our services and refrain from attending Events.

When accessing the App or Web Platform, we may collect:

4. Authorization for Use of Images and Photographs
By attending Digi Americas Events—whether on-site, hybrid, or virtual—or using features in the App or Web Platform that involve capturing, uploading, or sharing photographs, audio, or video (“media”), you acknowledge and agree that:
- Event photography and videography may occur for documentation, reporting, marketing, and communication purposes.
- Your image, likeness, or voice may appear in media recorded in event spaces, plenary sessions, working groups, receptions, or public/common areas.
- You grant Digi Americas a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display such media in connection with the mission and activities of the Digi Americas Alliance, unless you explicitly request otherwise.
- If you upload or submit media through the App or Web Platform, you confirm that you have all necessary rights to share such content and authorize Digi Americas to use it for event and platform purposes.
Opt-Out
If you wish to opt out of appearing in event media:
- Notify Digi Americas before or during the Event, or
- Inform event staff on-site
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request, especially for staged or individual photos, but full exclusion from all group or environment-wide images may not be feasible.
5. Anti-Harassment and Code of Conduct
Digi Americas is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment across all Events, digital platforms, and interactions facilitated through the App or Web Platform.
Harassment of any kind—including discrimination, intimidation, abusive behavior, stalking, or unwanted contact—is strictly prohibited in all environments, including:
- On-site event venues
- App communication tools
- Web Platform features
- Social or networking activities connected to an Event
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Harassing or threatening behavior in person or digitally
- Sharing offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content
- Misuse of user data for unsolicited, intrusive, or inappropriate contact
- Any conduct that compromises the safety, dignity, or well-being of participants, speakers, staff, or partners

On-site participants may also report concerns directly to event staff. Reports will be reviewed promptly, and appropriate action will be taken, which may include removal from the App, Web Platform, or Event.

7. Data Security
We implement technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect information collected digitally or on-site. Despite these efforts, no system is entirely secure.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to support:
- App and Web Platform operations
- Event operations and post-event communications
- Legal and organizational requirements
Data that is no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymized.
